I both love and hate Frank Lapidus. I enjoy his grumpy demeanor, but I hate that he shaved that goatee. I like that he came back as the pilot of that Ajira plane, but I hate that he hasn’t really done much else than cracked wise since then. I think he had a bad feeling about something at one point or another.

So of course I liked seeing him turn up alive in the finale as proof that the writers had a plan from the get-go. I mean, why keep him around unless they knew the guy in the pilot outfit would be useful for flying an airplane sooner or later?
